I would like to thank the city of Chanhassen for the exhilarating moment. In the past ten years our family has emptied parents houses and apartments after their passing. It amazed me that the homes were so full of the material items encountered during life. We hauled truck loads of stuff to Goodwill and to the environmental center. Our family decided to not do this to our children. We decided to start sorting through all of our stuff. We have been really good at clearing out the basement. One item really bugged me, what to do with boxes of tax returns, contracts, cancelled checks, and documents of all kinds. Chanhassen solved the problem with their free of charge shred it truck. It took a couple days to gather the hoard. Contents of three file cabinets and old boxes from the basement. As the moment arrived to dispose of the documents, I was tickled that it was happening. I know I was beaming when the last of the forty years of docs were hoisted up and dumped into the whirling, chewing shredder. We are left with seven years of tax returns, the most current insurance docs, a few contracts, and our final papers and instructions. More should try it. It’s exhilarating.
Thank you Chanhassen.
